Country Antiques & Folk Art Show

The Antiques Show will be held on Sunday, June 13 from 10am-4pm. Spend a wonderful day browsing and buying antiques and folk art. Highlights of the Show:

  • Over 50 antiques dealers from across the US will be selling their antiques from the 1600-early 1900s
  • Professional Appraisals, Noon - 3pm - nationally known appraiser Helaine Fendelman will provide verbal appraisals for items you own but wonder what they are or what they are worth. Each appraisal is $10 with a limit of three per person. Sign-ups will be available at the Show on Sunday. Photos of furniture or larger items are welcome. Sorry, no jewlery.
  • Summertime picnic foods including the best burgers in town and fresh homemade strawberry shortcake will be for sale at Pinky's Grill, an all-volunteer effort with proceeds going to the Museum.
  • Folk artisans will demonstrate early American decorative arts, with completed works of art available for purchase.

will be joining us from New York. With over 30 years experience, she is an appraiser, author of multiple books on antiques and folk art, writes the popular feature "What Is It? What Is It Worth?" for Country Living magazine, and is co-host of a PBS affiliate show "Treasures in Your Attic". Mrs. Fendelman is also a frequent guest appraiser on national television and radio.

The Los Altos History Museum has sponsored the show since it's inception and the Show remains an important fundraiser for the Museum. The relaxed atmosphere of old friends enjoying a day of browsing and discussing their common interests in early American and country antiques makes this a "must" event for antique lovers from the San Francisco Bay Area and all over the West Coast and United States.

The Hillview Community Center in Los Altos is conveniently located 20 minutes from both
San Francisco International Airport and San Jose International Airport.
